Job summary

Autotech Recruit in the Essex area is seeking a qualified MOT Tester to join a busy workshop with a strong focus on safety and quality. You will conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA standards, inspect vehicles, and carry out service and repair work as required.

You'll be part of a skilled aftersales team, with ongoing training, career development, and a comprehensive benefits package. A competitive salary plus bonus scheme and flexible working options are on offer.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Current MOT Tester qualification.
• Previous experience as MOT Tester in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards and regulations.
• Completing vehicle inspections and identifying additional repair requirements.
• Performing service and repair work where required.
• Communicating test results and repair recommendations to the service team.
• Ensuring all quality control and compliance procedures are followed.
• Maintaining accurate job records and workshop documentation.
• Keeping up to date with MOT legislation and vehicle technology.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workshop safety.

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Full UK Driving Licence
