Job summary

Protyre Autocare is seeking a customer-focused MOT Technician to join our team. You will perform MOT tests and mechanical repairs within our fast-growing national automotive group, with superb training and development opportunities.

A valid MOT licence and a full UK driving licence are essential, with additional benefits including funded IMI courses and staff discounts on services, tyres and MOTs.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 6 months.
• Valid MOT Licence.
• Experience in mechanical and fast fit repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT testing in accordance with DVSA requirements.
• General servicing and repairs including brakes and exhausts.
• Fast fit tyre fitting with alignment machine and readings adjustments.
• Work safely and comply with health & safety regulations.
• Maintain professional appearance and company uniform.
• Carry out other reasonable requests by management.

Essential:

Full Clean UK Driving Licence, held for at least 6 months (age restrictions may apply - points or offences may affect your application)

Valid MOT Licence

About the role:

• Ensuring the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard
• Carry out MOT testing in accordance with DVSA testing requirements
• General servicing and repairs, including fitting brakes, exhausts, and other mechanical products.
• Fast Fit Tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments
• Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations
• Ensure a high standard of personal presentation including always wearing correct company uniform.
• Conduct any reasonable request / tasks as deemed necessary by the management team.

About you:

• A valid MOT Licence
• You will have experience in mechanical and fast fit repairs which may include tyre fitting, exhausts, brakes, suspension, general servicing and repairs to a wide range of vehicles
• Full UK Driving Licence
