Our client, a reputable automotive service centre and tyre retailer, is seeking an MOT Technician for their Swansea site. The role offers a starting salary of £32,640 per year with performance bonuses and a five-day week.

The successful candidate will perform MOT testing, diagnose faults and carry out related servicing in a busy workshop. A valid MOT licence and UK driving licence are essential, with strong customer service skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with Ministry standards.

• Support workshop operations to ensure efficient workflow.
• Provide high-quality workmanship within designated timescales.
• Assist front reception with customer inquiries when needed.

Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable automotive service centre and tyre retailer with multiple centres across the UK, for a MOT Technician to join their busy Swansea location.

This is an excellent MOT Technician opportunity for a skilled professional seeking stable employment within a friendly workshop environment.

• Starting salary approximately £32,640 per annum, negotiable based on experience
• Monthly performance-related bonuses, averaging £3,600 annually - 32 days' annual leave including bank holidays, plus a day off for your birthday

• Opportunity to work with the UK's fastest-growing tyre retailer - 42.5 hours per week over a five-day guaranteed schedule, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, and alternate Saturdays 8:00am-4:00pm (with a day off in the week when working a Saturday) Duties of a MOT Technician:
• Carrying out MOT tests in compliance with Ministry standards
• Diagnosing vehicle faults and executing relevant service and repair work
• Supporting workshop operations as needed to ensure efficient workflow
• Providing high-quality work within designated timescales
• Offering assistance at the front reception desk with customer enquiries when required
• Maintaining excellent customer service standards at all times
• Requirements of a MOT Technician:
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester
• MOT licence is essential
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Ability to produce high-quality workmanship within tight deadlines
• Friendly and approachable demeanour, with strong communication skills
• Reside within reasonable commuting distance of Swansea
