Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting an MOT Technician in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals seeking progression within a reputable dealership group. Basic salary up to £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience, with on-target earnings exceeding £52,000.

Working hours Monday to Friday, 08:15 to 17:15, with no weekends. Generous holiday entitlement including 30 days annual leave plus your birthday off.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification as a Vehicle Technician.
• Ideally, hold an MOT testing licence.
• Experience working on a range of vehicle makes and models.
• Strong service skills and a good understanding of workshop procedures.
• Ability to work well within a team and under pressure as a MOT Technician
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Full UK driving license, preferably clean.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
• Conduct vehicle diagnostics and fault finding as the MOT Technician
• Complete all work within specified timeframes, maintaining quality.
• Keep accurate and detailed records of all work performed.
• Participate in manufacturer training and skills development programmes.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
