Qualifications

• Proven experience as a vehicle technician or MOT tester.
• NVQ in Motor Vehicle Technology (IMI or City & Guilds Level 3) or equivalent.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Ambition to build a career in the motor trade.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles, including diagnostics.
• Conduct MOT tests alongside standard servicing.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety compliance.
• Communicate work progress to supervisors clearly.
• Keep accurate records of repairs and services performed.
• Assist with fault diagnosis and repairs as required.

Duties of an MOT Technician:

• Service and repair vehicles, including diagnostics
• Conduct MOT tests alongside standard servicing
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety compliance
• Effectively communicate work progress to supervisors
• Keep accurate records of vehicle repairs and services done as anMOT Technician
• Assist with fault diagnosis and repairs as required
• Adhere to manufacturer procedures and standards
• Ensure customer satisfaction through quality work and professionalism

Requirements of an MOT Technician:

• Proven experience as a vehicle technician or MOT tester
• NVQ in Motor Vehicle Technology through IMI or City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent)
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence
