Job summary

A MOT Technician role with Allscreens Nationwide Ltd, hosted at a franchised main dealership in Southampton, Hampshire. The position offers a competitive basic salary up to £34,000 depending on experience, plus an OTE of £39,000 through a structured bonus scheme.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with one Saturday every two months (8:30am–12:30pm). Benefits include 23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• MOT Tester qualification (Level 3 preferred; Level 2 with testing licence considered).
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Proven workshop experience with solid technical skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Commitment to continuous development within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Conducting vehicle repairs and routine servicing in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Carrying out MOT testing (Level 3 qualification preferred; Level 2 individuals with testing licence considered).
• Diagnosing faults accurately and performing necessary repairs.
• Communicating effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair progress.
• Supporting and mentoring Junior Technicians within the workshop.
• Maintaining health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participating in ongoing technical training to stay abreast of vehicle technology developments.
