Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Gloucester is seeking an experienced MOT Technician to join a growing independent fleet repair business. You will work in a modern, well-equipped workshop where quality and employee wellbeing are valued.

The role covers MOT testing (Class 4, 5, 7), repairs, diagnostics, and servicing light commercial vehicles and retail cars. Benefits include salary up to £40,000, performance bonus, 28 days leave, training and pension.

Qualifications

• IMI or NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Current MOT testing licence preferred (Class 4, 5 and 7).
• 1–2 years’ practical vehicle technician experience.
• UK driving licence holder and reliable team player.

Responsibilities

• MOT preparation and testing of Class 4, 5 and 7 vehicles.
• Perform MOT repairs and rectification work as needed.
• Diagnose faults using specialist equipment and document results.
• Service and repair light commercial vehicles and retail cars.
• Replace cambelts and clutches as required.
• Respond to breakdowns and maintain vehicle records.

We are seeking an experienced MOT Technicianto join our growing independent fleet repair business in Gloucester. This MOT Technician role offers the opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped workshop where quality, professional development and employee wellbeing are valued.

As an MOT Technician, you will play an important role in maintaining and repairing a varied range of light commercial vehicles and retail cars.

Duties:

• MOT preparation and testing of Class 4, 5 and 7 vehicles
• Carrying out MOT repairs and rectification work
• Diagnosing faults using specialist diagnostic equipment
• Servicing and repairing light commercial vehicles and retail cars
• Completing cambelt and clutch replacement work
• Responding to vehicle breakdowns when required
• Completing all relevant vehicle records and worksheets
• Carrying out technical diagnostics and supporting the wider workshop team

Requirements:

• IMI or NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent qualification
• At least one to two years’ practical experience as a Vehicle Technician
• A current MOT testing licence, preferably including Class 4, 5 and 7
• A clean UK driving licence
• A motivated, reliable and team-oriented approach
• Fleet repair experience is advantageous but not essential
• Welding and fabrication experience would be beneficial
