Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Gloucester is seeking an experienced MOT Technician for a modern, well-equipped workshop. Up to £40,000 depending on experience, plus a performance bonus and overtime opportunities.

You will diagnose, repair and service a range of light vehicles, prepare for MOT tests (Class 4/5/7) and maintain records. Mon-Fri 8:00–17:30, with 28 days holiday, gym membership, cycle to work and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• IMI/NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair required.
• At least 1-2 years’ practical experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• Valid MOT license, preferably Class 4, 5 and 7.
• Clean UK driving licence.
• Motivated, team-oriented attitude.
• Fleet repairs/welding experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, repairing and servicing light commercial and retail vehicles.
• Preparing vehicles for MOT tests and conducting Class 4, 5 and 7 MOT inspections.
• Carrying out MOT repairs and rectifications.
• Conducting diagnostics with specialist equipment.
• Completing vehicle records and documentation.
• Responding to breakdowns promptly.
• Cambelt and clutch replacements when required.

Duties of a MOT Technician:
