Perfect Placement are assisting a well-established car dealership in Epsom, Surrey in their search for an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester. You will work with a professional team to service, diagnose faults, and support MOT testing while embracing the latest vehicle technologies, including EV maintenance.

The role offers a competitive base salary up to £40,100 with a realistic OTE of around £48,000 and a generous benefits package, including 33 days leave, pension, life assurance,

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• MOT testing qualification preferred for this role.
• Minimum of two years post-apprenticeship experience within an automotive environment.
• Full UK driving licence held for at least six months.
• Previous experience within a main dealership advantageous.
• Interest in learning electric vehicle maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing and maintenance on passenger and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair faults efficiently and accurately.
• Support mechanical and electrical repairs as part of the team.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics adhering to industry standards.
• Provide technical advice to customers and colleagues.
• Support MOT testing, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training to remain current with emerging vehicle technologies, including electric vehicles.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester:
