Job summary

Human Appeal is seeking a Mosque Coordinator to drive income from mosques across the UK. You will build strong relationships with mosque representatives, secure collections, recruit volunteers, and promote the HA brand.

The role focuses on increasing fundraising income, community engagement, and awareness of our humanitarian work. The ideal candidate will have a degree (or equivalent), at least two years in a similar post, knowledge of Islamic charitable giving, and strong English skills.

Qualifications

• Degree level education (Minimum GCSEs in Maths and English)
• Minimum of 2 years in a similar post
• Knowledge of Islamic charitable giving e.g. Zakat, Qurbani, Waqf, Fitrana, Fidya
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Excellent English verbal and written skills

Responsibilities

• Safeguard the charity by adhering to fundraising code of conduct and internal policies
• Maximise fundraising income and awareness for HA year on year
• Manage collections during Ramadan and year-round
• Maintain regular visits with mosque stakeholders
• Build a circle of mosque volunteers and utilise them effectively
• Coordinate bookings and collections from Mosques and centres
• Maintain cash controls and receipts, ensuring audit trails
• Provide receipts, certificates and annual reports to mosques to build trust and future donations
• Update the Donor Management System with mosque data in a timely manner
• Serve as HA ambassador for mosque relationships across the UK
• Collaborate with FR team to optimize mosque operations and donations
• Work with data/finance teams to ensure donations are entered correctly and Gift Aid maximised
