Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Anatomical Pathology Technician to join the Mortuary teams at Cumberland Infirmary and West Cumberland Hospital. The role is permanent, up to 37.5 hours weekly, with on-call commitments and possible body storage cover.

The successful candidate will perform post mortem duties, work with a small team, and participate in out-of-hours service as required.

Qualifications

• BSc in biological or forensic science and Royal Society for Public Health Diploma (or equivalent).
• Essential IT skills and familiarity with lab information systems.
• Experience with mortuary/post-mortem procedures is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day post mortem services for North Cumbria.
• Collaborate with Mortuary Technicians and Mortuary Assistants at Cumberland Infirmary and West Cumberland Hospital.
• Participate in on-call rota and weekend coverage as required.
