Sanctuary Personnel in Cambridge, UK is seeking a Band 6 Anatomical Pathology Technologist for a part-time locum role (22.5 hours per week) with an ASAP start. The post requires HCPC registration and a Level 3 APT Diploma, with Level 4 desirable.

The role covers post-mortem work, specimen handling and equipment maintenance, and involves liaising with medical staff. Flexible hours are available (07:30-12:00 or 08:00-12:30).

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 APT Diploma required, Level 4 desirable but not essential.
• Two years of experience in a similar role.
• Valid HCPC registration.
• Car driver preferable for ease of travel to various sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed post-mortem examinations ensuring meticulous documentation of findings.
• Prepare and maintain the mortuary and post-mortem equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Assist with the management and care of deceased patients with empathy and respect.
• Liaise effectively with medical staff and external agencies regarding post-mortem procedures and requirements.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining compliance with legal and professional standards.
• Record and manage data with accuracy, contributing to robust record-keeping and reporting.
