Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Band 5 Anatomical Pathology Technologist for Chesterfield and Derby, UK. You will work in mortuary settings with an emphasis on dignity, precision, and professional conduct, earning £21 per hour under a full-time, ongoing contract.

This role requires a Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology with APTA membership and experience in post-mortems, evisceration, and high-risk case handling.

Qualifications

• A Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology with APTA membership is required.
• Experience with post-mortem, mortuary procedures, evisceration and high-risk case handling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post-mortems and evisceration with precision and care, maintaining the utmost standards of dignity and respect.
• Manage high-risk case work with professionalism, ensuring compliance with all health and safety guidelines.
• Assist with body admissions and releases, working closely with team members and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation for all mortuary procedures, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with pathologists in preparation for autopsies and help facilitate discussions with interested parties where required.
