Job summary

Your Mortgage Recruiter LTD is recruiting a Mortgage and Protection Advisor to join an established Essex brokerage on a hybrid basis. You will handle residential and BTL cases from the whole market, with warm leads supplied and in-house admin support to manage cases to completion.

The role offers a negotiable base salary, £3,000 car allowance, commissions, annual bonuses, and an OTE of £50,000–£70,000 in the first year. Working hours are 9:00–18:00, Monday to Friday, with no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Mortgage advising experience is essential.
• Full CeMAP qualification (or equivalent).
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Client service focused with strong organisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide mortgage and protection advice from whole of market.

Job description

My client is a very well established, successful, award winning, directly authorised, independent mortgage brokerage. The company's main aim is to provide the best and most impartial advice available to its clientele.

Due to having additional new and existing client leads that need to be managed, the brokerage is keen to hire an additional employed Mortgage and Protection Advisor (handling mainly Residential and BTL mortgage cases, although the company do also provide advice on Commercial mortgage cases too) to join their established team.

Within this role the successful candidate will receive an employed contract including a basic salary, car allowance, a competitive monthly commission scheme, annual bonuses and an employee benefits package with the company.

This is a hybrid position where you will have the opportunity to work from your home on 3 days per week and from a central Chelmsford, Essex based co-working office on 2 days per week. The working week is Monday to Friday only, with no weekend work being required. With working hours of 9:00am to 18:00pm, with a 1 hour lunch break each day.

In addition to the large existing base of loyal clients that the company have, they also gain numerous client referrals/recommendations each week and the firm also receive many client referrals via various separate estate agency introducers that they work in partnership with throughout Essex.

The company also benefit from mortgage client introductions from Accountancy firms and local Sports Clubs.

In turn each of the firms Mortgage and Protection Advisors regularly write high levels of business per month. The Advisor’s are also assisted by an established team of Mortgage and Protection Administrators, who successfully manage mortgage and protection cases through to their completion.

The successful candidate will also benefit from receiving regular one to one’s, training, development and compliance support both carried out in office and using additional resources provided by third party support providers.

Key role features include:

• You will provide mortgage and protection advice from the whole of market.
• All warm client leads will be provided to you, in turn you are not at all required to have your own client base for this role.
• Your mortgage and protection case administration will be completed by an in-house administration team, who will liaise with yourself, your clients, the lenders, solicitors and the protection providers. Seeing your cases through to their successful completion. Allowing you to spend more time speaking with and meeting with new clients.
• You will also benefit from compliance support provided in-house by the firms compliance team.
• You will work within both a professional environment and within a successful, friendly and helpful team of experienced Advisor’s.

Key candidate attributes:

• Mortgage advising experience is essential (preferably gained within the independent market).
• In turn you must hold the full CeMAP qualification (or equivalent).
• Excellent communication skills (both English written and verbal).
• Client service focused.
• Strong organisation and time management skills.
• My client is keen to hire a candidate who is ambitious, driven/committed to succeeding, whilst also being a team player.
• The successful candidate must be available to work from a Chelmsford, Essex based office on 2 days per week.

Within the employed position, the successful candidate will receive a competitive starting basic salary, which is negotiable dependent upon your experience and performance track record. Further additional initial salary guarantees are also possible if required/preferred. Plus an additional £3,000 per annum car allowance, plus a lucrative commission structure and additional annual performance related bonuses are available within the role. Leading to a first year annual OTE of £50,000 to £70,000. Advisor’s at the company also earn additional commission for successful wills and solicitor referrals made.

The successful candidate will also benefit from receiving competitive paid holiday entitlement of 25 days per annum (plus the annual bank holidays) and a company pension scheme.
