Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council Ltd is seeking a Breakfast Club Assistant to supervise children in the morning before school. You will work with the local team under the Head Teacher's direction to ensure safety, welfare, and positive conduct during breakfast time on school grounds.

The role requires PVG Scheme membership prior to starting. It is a Monday to Friday morning post (7.55am-8.55am) with duties including dining area cleanliness and basic hygiene practices.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting or voluntary capacity.
• Be a positive, approachable and pleasant individual with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Punctual, reliable and have a basic knowledge of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ability to execute routine tasks on your own initiative and follow instructions from the Head Teacher.

Responsibilities

• supervise children during breakfast time in the school grounds and ensure they are safe and happy.
• Help with welfare and promote positive conduct in line with council policy and procedures.
• Clean tables and spillages and keep the dining area clean and tidy at all times.
