Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Breakfast Club Assistant to supervise children during breakfast time before school. You will ensure safety, support welfare, and promote positive conduct in line with council policy.

You will also clean tables and tidy the dining area, following directions from the Head Teacher. Ideal candidates have experience with children in school or voluntary settings, are punctual, reliable, and able to work independently with basic hygiene knowledge.

Qualifications

• You will ideally have experience working with children in a school situation or voluntary capacity.
• You will be punctual, reliable, have basic knowledge of hygiene and cleanliness.
• You must become a PVG Scheme member before starting in this role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during breakfast time before the start of the school day.
• Help maintain safety and promote positive conduct in line with council policy.
• Clean tables and spillages; keep dining area tidy at all times.
• Work as part of the local team under the Head Teacher’s direction.
