Job summary

Education Personnel is seeking a Breakfast Club Assistant to support Primary Schools across DE4 and SK17 with early-morning shifts from 07:45 to 08:45.

You will set up the breakfast area, supervise pupils, assist with transitions into the morning line, and promote a safe, hygienic start to the day. A fully enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and safeguarding training are required. Reliable, punctual and flexible in ad-hoc daily work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with primary school-aged children in a school, childcare, or youth setting.
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable with a flexible approach to ad-hoc daily work.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor with pupils, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up the breakfast area, prepare food and drinks, and serve pupils between 07:45 and 08:45.
• Supervise children during breakfast and lead low-key morning activities or reading time.
• Ensure smooth, safe transitions from breakfast to classrooms or school lines.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the breakfast club.
