Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a Monday-to-Friday role in the United Kingdom. You will deliver and collect goods, maintain vehicle checks and paperwork, and ensure loads are secure and compliant with WTD regulations.

The successful candidate will have a valid HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and at least two years of experience, with a focus on safety, reliability and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• At least two years' HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Knowledge of drivers' hours, tachograph regulations and WTD.
• Good knowledge of the UK road network.
• Reliable, punctual and self-motivated attitude.
• Commitment to safe driving, load security and compliance.
• Experience using smartphone apps or digital delivery systems is advantageous but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out deliveries and collections safely and efficiently at customer premises.
• Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.
• Completing daily vehicle, trailer and equipment checks and relevant documentation.
• Ensuring loads are safe, secure and within company procedures.
• Handing over delivery paperwork, POD documents and load documentation.
• Following company policies, procedures and operational requirements.
• Adhering to drivers' hours, tachograph and WTD regulations.
• Maintaining health, safety, cleanliness and site rules.
