Job summary

BaxterStorey in City of London is recruiting a Hospitality Commis Chef for a Monday to Friday shift, with no weekend service. You’ll prepare everyday dishes to recipe standards and support the head chef in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commis Chef or strong passion for food.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards; ensure food safety.
• Station Management – oversee production at your station and keep area stocked and clean.
• Quality Control – maintain high quality, presentation and taste of all dishes.
• Team Collaboration – communicate effectively with team members and support colleagues.
• Cleaning and Maintenance – keep kitchen clean and equipment in good working order.
