Job Opportunity: Modern Housekeeper at Royal Derby Hospital

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated individual to join Ward 406 at the Royal Derby Hospital as a full-time modern housekeeper. You will work as an integral part of the clinical team, responsible for coordinating all patient facilities services within the ward, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

The main responsibilities include ensuring a seamless delivery of non-clinical services such as cleaning, catering, minor maintenance, and other tasks to meet patients' needs, as determined by the Ward Senior Sister in line with NHS National Standards.

Ideal candidates will have a caring and compassionate attitude, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of confidentiality. Literacy and numeracy skills are essential, along with the ability to maintain high standards across all aspects of the role. A good awareness of infection control principles, cleanliness, and tidiness is crucial in maintaining the working environment.

A proactive, 'can-do' approach to supporting the team and ensuring the smooth running of the department is essential.

This role includes a training package incorporating the Care Certificate to support practical experience gained on the clinical area.
