Supply Desk Ltd is recruiting a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher for a secondary school in the Watford area. The role covers Key Stages 3 and 4, with KS5 opportunities, aiming to develop language skills, cultural awareness and confidence in communication.

The successful candidate may be an experienced MFL teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT). A degree in MFL and QTS are essential, with a supportive environment and CPD options available.

Responsibilities

Are you an enthusiastic and committed Modern Foreign Languages Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity this September? Supply Desk is working with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in the Watford area, seeking a dedicated MFL specialist to join their successful and collaborative department.

The successful candidate will teach students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 where appropriate. You will play an important role in developing students language skills, cultural awareness and confidence in communication, delivering engaging and purposeful lessons that inspire a genuine interest in languages.

Whether you are an experienced MFL Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this is an excellent opportunity to develop your teaching career within a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high-quality Modern Foreign Languages lessons across Key Stages 3 5, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Plan and deliver lessons that develop students speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
• Encourage students to develop an appreciation of different languages, cultures and global perspectives.
• Establish positive relationships with students and maintain effective classroom management.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the MFL department to contribute to a successful and engaging curriculum.
• Encourage students to become confident, independent and motivated language learners.
• Support students of all abilities to achieve their full academic potential.
