Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd is recruiting a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher for a secondary school in the Watford area. The role covers Key Stages 3 and 4, with KS5 opportunities, aiming to develop language skills, cultural awareness and confidence in communication.

The successful candidate may be an experienced MFL teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT). A degree in MFL and QTS are essential, with a supportive environment and CPD options available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related subject.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching MFL at secondary level.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging MFL lessons across Key Stages 3–5.
• Plan and deliver lessons developing speaking, listening, reading and writing.
• Assess and monitor student progress with constructive feedback.
• Encourage appreciation of languages, cultures and global perspectives.
• Collaborate with the MFL department to deliver a cohesive curriculum.
• Support students of all abilities to reach their potential.
