Job summary

CBSbutler is supporting a defence engineering organisation recruiting a Model Based Systems Engineer to join their team in Kidderminster. The role focuses on developing and validating complex systems using MBSE methods across multidisciplinary teams.

You'll model with MATLAB/Simulink, SysML and related tools, translate requirements into detailed models, run simulations, and contribute to system architecture, verification, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in MBSE within aerospace/defense, automotive, or similar industries.
• Proficiency with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, IBM Rational Rhapsody, or SysML tools.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, requirements management, and systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and validate system models using industry-standard modeling tools and languages (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, SysML).
• Contribute to the design and implementation of system architecture, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate models into overall system development.
• Perform simulations to predict system behavior, identify potential issues, and optimize performance.
• Support requirement traceability and documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Participate in system reviews, technical meetings, and project planning sessions.
• Maintain thorough documentation of models, methodologies, and results to support ongoing development and future reference.
