Job summary

Elvis Eckardt Recruitment is seeking a Systems Engineer specialising in MoD and Government systems for a Redhill, Surrey position. You will design, configure and deliver secure systems for UK MoD/government projects, with strict security requirements.

This hands-on role requires clearances, experience in IP networks, and Cisco/Juniper networking. Initial six months are on-site, with potential for up to six remote days per month and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK MoD/defence or secure government environments.
• Strong systems/communications engineering background.
• Good understanding of IP networks and network design.
• Hands-on Cisco CCNA level or Juniper networking experience.
• Ability to translate requirements into practical system designs.
• Ability to produce and work with technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure systems for MoD and Government projects.
• Deliver engineering projects per specifications.
• Liaise with Projects Office for delivery.
• Translate customer requirements into system designs.
• Define IP structures and equipment specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to teams.
• Produce and maintain drawings and documentation.
• Test and verify equipment against specs.
