Job summary

Get Set UK is seeking an Employment Advisor to deliver practical, one-to-one employment support in community locations across the region. The role involves managing a caseload of young people aged 18-24 and helping them overcome barriers to work.

This mobile position is not anchored to a single office; you will travel between delivery locations, require a valid driving licence, and provide ongoing in-work coaching once employment starts.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting, coaching or advising people towards a defined outcome.
• Experience engaging people who may lack confidence or face barriers to employment.
• Experience identifying practical barriers and helping individuals progress towards employment, education or another positive outcome.
• Evidence of delivering measurable targets, deadlines or agreed outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with young people, understand their strengths, ambitions and barriers, and agree clear action plans.
• Provide CV, application and interview support, develop workplace confidence and help resolve travel/ID/digital access issues.
• Identify suitable vacancies with Employer Partnerships and prepare young people for employer introductions.
• Deliver structured in-work coaching and support to sustain employment.
