Job summary

Get Set UK is seeking an Employment Advisor to deliver practical, one-to-one employment support in community locations across multiple delivery sites. This mobile role involves regular travel between locations, not a fixed office base.

A valid driving licence and insurance for business use are essential. You will build relationships with young people, assess strengths and barriers, and provide CV, application and interview support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting, coaching or advising people towards a defined outcome.
• Experience engaging people who may lack confidence or barriers to employment.
• Experience identifying practical barriers and helping individuals progress towards employment, education or another positive outcome.
• Evidence of delivering measurable targets, deadlines or agreed outcomes.
• A valid driving licence, access to a suitable vehicle and appropriate business-use insurance for regular travel between community delivery locations.
• Evidence of commitment, reliability and consistently delivering high standards of work.
• Ability to present your recent employment history clearly, including explaining gaps or short-term roles during the previous five years.
• Confident working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to case-management and other digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one employment support in community locations and manage a caseload of young people.
• Travel between delivery locations and work in a mobile, community-based role.
• Provide CV, application and interview support and assist with travel, identification and digital access issues.
• Develop workplace confidence and help turn opportunities into employment starts.
• Work with Employer Partnerships to prepare young people for employer introductions and convert opportunities into employment starts.
• Provide structured in-work coaching and address emerging difficulties to sustain employment.
