Job summary

RAC’s SMR mobile service division seeks skilled Mobile Mechanics to deliver planned servicing and diagnostics directly at members’ locations across the UK. You’ll perform in-depth repairs and provide on-the-spot advice, supported by a full RAC van, tools, and diagnostics suite.

You’ll operate with independence, problem solving, and a commitment to safety, aiming to keep members moving with high-quality service and clear reporting.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience, or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs you would normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection and reporting.
