Job summary

RAC in Cheltenham is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join the SMR division, delivering planned, pre-booked servicing and diagnostics to members at their driveways or workplaces. You’ll work a clear schedule with no emergency callouts, handling routine servicing, diagnostics with mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs while giving informed advice.

The role offers a base salary of £40,178 with OTE up to £52,000, 40 hours per week (8:30 am–5:00 pm, 1 in 4 Saturdays), a guaranteed overtime

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
