Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR Division to deliver planned, pre‑booked servicing and repairs rather than emergency callouts. You’ll be out on the road in your local area, working from a clear digital schedule with a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform and advanced diagnostics.

The base salary starts at £45,370 (with London weighting if applicable) and OTE can reach up to £57,000.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence with few points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
