Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service and repair customer vehicles at their chosen location, including EVs. The role is home-based with 40 hours weekly across five days, Monday to Saturday, and occasional overtime opportunities.

You will diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance, communicating findings to customers and handling card payments. A minimum Level 2 qualification and 2 years’ post-qualification experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).

Responsabilités

• Service and repair vehicles at customer location (including EVs).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks (oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections).
• Diagnose and repair vehicle issues (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical).
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate repair recommendations to customers.
• Handle payments via card transactions.
• Keep records of work and parts used.
• Stay up-to-date with automotive technology and repair techniques.
