Job summary

Direct Line Group is hiring for a Green Flag field technician in Welwyn Garden City, St Albans, and surrounding towns. You’ll start from home with a company vehicle, diagnosing and resolving breakdowns in customers’ vehicles to get them back on the move.

Qualifications

• 21+ for insurance purposes.
• Current Category B driving licence required.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent preferred for light vehicle maintenance.
• Demonstrate empathy and aim for correct outcomes.
• Experience in Motor Repair industry; lone-working desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle issues and determine required work to resolve.
• Provide on-board kit service for breakdowns to get customers moving.
• Carry out tyre, battery or fuel-related repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with dispatch to improve the customer claims journey.
