Job summary

Direct Line Group’s Green Flag team is hiring a breakdown technician for Welwyn Garden City, St Albans, Aylesbury, High Wycombe and Watford. This permanent role is 40 hours, four days a week, with a 7am–8pm shift and optional overtime.

You’ll start from home with a company vehicle and diagnose faults to get customers back on the move. You’ll apply up-to-date repair techniques, collaborate with dispatch to improve the claims journey, and enjoy benefits such as a 9% pension, insurance discounts,

Qualifications

• 21 years or older for insurance purposes.
• Category B driving licence required.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in motor repair industry and lone working desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle faults and plan safe, effective repairs.
• Provide on-road support and carry a full repair kit.
• Collaborate with dispatch to improve the customer claims journey.
