Job summary

You will join RAC's SMR division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician, operating on a schedule of planned jobs for members. You’ll work with a fully equipped RAC van, use advanced diagnostics, and deliver high-quality servicing and repairs in customers’ driveways or workplaces across the Leeds cluster area.

The role emphasizes independence, structured workflows, and professional customer interaction, with a base salary of £40,170 and potential earnings up to £52,000 with overtime and bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned servicing and diagnostics on customer vehicles.
• Carry out in-depth repairs to RAC SMR standards.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Work with a fully equipped RAC van and diagnostics tools.
