Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service, maintain and repair vehicles at customers’ homes or workplaces. This permanent, home-based role runs 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am–5pm with 1 Saturday per month. OTE above £52,000, base £40,170.

You’ll work on EVs, diagnose issues, handle payments, and keep detailed records. UK work rights required; Level 2 (Level 3 preferred) in light vehicle maintenance and repair, plus 2 years post-qualification experience;

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair (Level 3 preferred).
• At least 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles at customers' chosen location (including EVs).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks (oil changes, tyre rotations, brake inspections).
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate repair recommendations to customers and handle payments.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
