Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service, maintain and repair vehicles at customers' homes or workplaces across the Cheltenham area. This field-based role operates 40 hours weekly, with one in four Saturdays and potential overtime bonuses.

You will diagnose and fix issues on various vehicle types, including EVs, and communicate findings to customers. A Level 2/3 qualification and a valid UK licence are required, with attractive overtime and pension options.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair (Level 3 preferred).
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence - max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing vehicles at customer locations (driveways, office car parks, etc.).
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate repair recommendations to customers clearly.
• Handle payments via card transactions.
• Keep up to date with automotive technology and repair techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of all work and parts used.
