Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Mobile Vehicle Technician in Birmingham. This full-time, permanent role offers a basic salary of £45,000, plus performance bonuses, overtime, and a company van with fuel.

• Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic, HGV Technician, or Vehicle Technician.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own set of tools suitable for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Strong understanding of vehicle repair procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete service, repairs, and maintenance on a range of vehicles, including cars, vans, and heavy vehicles.
• Conduct visual inspections, adjustments, fluid changes, and replacements of worn components.
• Strip, fit, and replace vehicle components accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure all jobs are completed on time, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and keep detailed service records.
• Work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety protocols.

Duties of a Mobile Vehicle Technician

• Complete service, repairs, and maintenance on a range of vehicles, including small to heavy vehicles, with an emphasis on cars, vans, and ancillary equipment
• Conduct visual inspections, adjustments, fluid changes, and replacements of worn components such as brake linings
• Strip, fit, and replace vehicle components accurately and efficiently
• Ensure all jobs are completed on time, maintaining high standards of quality and safety
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and keep detailed service records in line with legal and company requirements
• Work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and reliability
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety protocols

Requirements of a Mobile Vehicle Technician

• Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic, HGV Technician, or Vehicle Technician within the motor trade
• Full UK driving licence
• Own set of tools suitable for vehicle maintenance and repairs
