Job summary

Octane Recruitment is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service, maintain and repair vehicles at customers' homes or workplaces in Norwich. The role is permanent, full-time, with 40 hours per week across 5 days (Mon–Sat, 8am–8pm) and optional overtime. Salary starts at £40,170 basic per year with OTE up to £52,000.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair (Level 3 preferred).
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles, either in a workshop or mobile role.
• Full UK driving licence - max 6 points, no bans.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
• Customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles at the customer's location (incl. EVs).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks (oil changes, tires, brakes).
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical).
• Use diagnostic tools/software to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate repair recommendations to customers.
• Handle payments via card transactions.
• Keep records of work and parts used.
