Autotech Recruit Ltd in Exeter is seeking an experienced Mobile Van Technician to service, maintain and repair vehicles at customer locations across the South West. You will diagnose faults, perform health checks, and use manufacturer diagnostic equipment in a mobile workshop.

The role offers independence, customer interaction, and ongoing training with a reputable automotive employer. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Van Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or similar.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on light commercial vehicles highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs at customer locations.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete detailed vehicle health checks and inspections.
• Utilise manufacturer diagnostic equipment and workshop systems.
• Conduct final quality and safety inspections.
• Complete all required service and repair documentation accurately.
• Deliver outstanding levels of customer service whilst working independently.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with manufacturer and company standards.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the business positively whilst on customer sites.

Mobile Van Technician – Exeter Mobile Service Technician | South West Region

Location: Exeter (covering the South West)

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Van Technician to join a growing commercial vehicle aftersales operation based in Exeter.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly with customers across the South West, carrying out on-site servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs. Working from a fully equipped mobile workshop vehicle, you will provide a convenient and professional service while maintaining the highest levels of technical workmanship and customer care.

This position would suit a qualified Van Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Mobile Technician, or HGV Technician seeking greater autonomy and a varied working environment.
