Job summary

Halfords is hiring a Mobile Technician to bring car care to customers' driveways. After collecting your van, you'll visit customers to carry out a range of repairs and services, guided by smart technology.

We provide full training, a 44-hour week, and a benefits package including annual leave and staff discounts. You should have a valid driving licence and enjoy solving problems in a customer-facing role.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle repair or tyre fitting is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and initiative.
• Passion for cars and motoring.
• Valid driving licence with max 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out battery replacements, windscreen repairs and oil & filter changes.
• Mechanical work delivered at customers' driveways using a company van.
• Work with smart routing technology to manage daily service visits.

• On-target earnings up to £35,709
• A monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £3,700 Per year
• Comprising a base salary of £32,009
• 44 hour week
• Shift pattern between Monday - Sunday 7:30am - 19:30pm including every other weekend

As a Mobile Technician, you'll use your technical knowledge, problem-solving ability and customer service skills to keep our customers moving. After collecting your fully equipped van from the local Hub, you'll be guided through your route by our smart technology, carrying out a wide range of repairs and services for our customers.

With full training provided for any gaps in your skill set, you can expect to carry out the following work, day-to-day:

• Battery replacement
• Windscreen repairs
• Oil & filter changes

Skills and experience

• Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter or in other vehicle repair work is highly desirable
• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative
• This role will suit those with a real passion for all things cars & motoring
• A current valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
