Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Mobile Tyre Technician to bring our services directly to customers’ driveways across Hampshire, UK. After collecting your fully equipped van, you’ll follow a smart route to perform tyre fittings, dash-cam work, battery changes and more with full training provided.

You’ll work a 44-hour week (Mon–Sun, 7:30am–7:30pm) with weekend coverage. Base salary £32,009 plus a monthly bonus, with on-target earnings up to £35,709.

Qualifications

• Previous Tyre Fitter or vehicle repair experience preferred.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative.
• Passion for cars and motoring.
• Current driving licence with <=6 points.

On-target earnings up to £35,709

A monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £3,700 per year, comprising a base salary of £32,009.

44-hour week shift pattern working between Monday - Sunday 7:30am - 7:30pm with every other weekend included.

As a Mobile Technician, you'll use your technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and customer service skills to keep our customers moving. After collecting your fully equipped van from the local Hub, you'll be guided through your route by our smart technology, carrying out a wide range of repairs and services for our customers. With full training provided for any gaps in your skill set, you can expect to carry out the following work, day-to-day:

• Tyre fitting
• Dash-cam fitting
• Battery replacement
• Air-con services
• Windscreen repairs
• Oil & filter changes
• Tow-bar fitting

Skills and experience

• Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter or in other vehicle repair work is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills & experience
• Ability to problem-solve and work on own initiative
• This role will suit those with a real passion for all things cars & motoring
• A current valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
