Job summary

Veolia Group is looking for a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Technician to provide operation and maintenance support on Industrial Utilities equipment in the UK. The role requires an engineering background and experience with Electrical and Mechanical systems.

We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.What we can offer you;25 days of annual leave plus bank holidaysRefer an Engineer to us once you’ve joined and earn £1000Access to our company pension schemeFree physiotherapy serviceDiscounts on everything from groceries to well known retailersAccess to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to24 hour access to a virtual GP, 365 days a year, for you and family members in your householdOngoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potentialWhat you'll be doing;Operation and maintenance support on a range of Industrial Utilities equipment which includes Steam Boilers and associated equipment, Air Compressors, Cooling Towers and Water Treatment Plants.Effective completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities on a range of Electrical and Mechanical systems is required; such as Mechanical maintenance to comply with PSSR and WSE insurance inspections and Low Voltage and Extra Low Voltage electrical systems.Breakdown and repair in line with electrical, control and instrumentation works.Project work including minor Electrical/ Mechanical installations.You will be responsible for the maintenance and publication of plant quality records,reports and implementing Safe Systems of Work to include production of Permit to Work, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.Supporting out of hour alarms from mobile sites through On-Call rota cover.What we're looking for;Essential:A proven engineering background within the Electrical and Mechanical industry with a recognised Time Served apprenticeship.Proactive approach to tasks and a willingness to learn.Experience with Electrical and Mechanical fault finding and maintenance. (110v, 240v and 415v).Knowledge of Steam Boiler plant operations.Full clean driving licence.Desirable:Experience of calibrating industrial process instrumentationExperience of carrying out Alarm, Trip and Interlock testing on systemsExperience of multi-skilled work to support both Electrical and Mechanical maintenance tasks within an Industrial environmentKnowledge of Steam Boiler plant to aid operations, maintenance and fault finding on plantYou will have experience of producing Health & Safety documentation such as Method Statement / Risk Assessments for tasksKnowledge of SCADA (BMS / PMS) and PLC systemsFault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of Water Treatment plant & equipment such as Effluent Treatment, Demineralisation and Reverse OsmosisYou will ideally possess qualification in some of the following areas – IOSH / CSCS Safety or equivalent, Confined Space, BOAS or equivalent, Steam Systems, Legionella Awareness, Industrial Gas Qualifications, IPAF / PASMAWhat’s next?Apply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.We're proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
