Your work will not only enhance the wellbeing of those you support, but it will also contribute to our overall mission of building a more equal society where everyone feels safe and valued.

The Role

Working across various supported housing services, you will cover short and medium-term staff vacancies to create a safe and empowering environment for women and their children, delivering a range of interventions that promote independence, safety and wellbeing.

Managing a caseload of women experiencing DVA, escaping DVA or resettling following a release from prison, you will implement interventions and support measures, as part of integrated packages of wraparound support.

One of the key objectives of the role is to advocate and empower your caseload to fully access welfare, legal, social and housing rights, assisting with welfare and benefits applications and access to healthcare and useful services.

  • An understanding of local and national approaches to tackling domestic abuse
  • A qualification and relevant training on the issues around domestic violence and abuse, problematic substance misuse and the criminal justice system
