Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a Mobile Cook Supervisor to manage day-to-day running of school kitchens across Nottingham and Derby, ensuring food safety and service quality.

The role is permanent, 35 hours per week (7:00am–2:00pm, Mon-Fri), on-site with hybrid working options where applicable, and requires a DBS enhanced check. Salary £26,824–£27,694 p.a. pro rata for part time. This post supports the city’s educational catering services and community wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-focused environments.
• Experience cooking for large groups including planning, ordering, cooking and serving.
• Ability to manage a team and deliver training/guidance.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety guidelines and COSHH procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deal with day-to-day running of various school kitchens from planning to delivery.
• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and equipment used.
