Job summary

North Yorkshire Council invites applications for a Relief Mobile Catering Assistant to support our award-winning facilities management catering team across Whitby and surrounding areas. You will help cooks prepare food, serve meals to students and staff, and help with setting up and clearing dining halls while maintaining high cleanliness and food safety standards.

You will travel between schools across the county, with a 55p per mile mileage allowance and a full driving licence with business

Qualifications

• Full driving licence and business use insurance required.
• Term-time-only hours: 9:00–14:00, Monday to Friday; no weekend work.
• Enhanced DBS required and cost covered by employer.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and teams to prepare food products.
• Serve meals to students and staff.
• Set up and clear dining hall; wash up; maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Travel between schools across the East of the county as directed by area management.
