Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is hiring a Relief Mobile Catering Assistant to join our mobile catering team across the East of the county. You will travel between schools, assist cooks, serve meals to students and staff, and help with dining hall setup and cleaning.

This role is term-time only with a pay of £13.28 per hour and a mileage allowance. You will need a full driving license with business-use insurance and be prepared to travel significantly within the county.

Qualifications

• Full driving license and use of a personal vehicle is required with business use insurance.
• Willingness to travel across the county to multiple remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Support cooks and catering teams to prepare and serve meals.
• Set up and clear dining areas and assist with kitchen duties.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
