Education Authority in Northern Ireland seeks a Mobile Cook to support school catering across the South Down area. You will work 30 hours per week, with a base near your home address for mileage claims and travel between schools.

Key duties include cooking, menu support, portion control, hygiene and safety, stock management, and assisting with staff supervision. You will help promote services to parents and principals while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent OR two years’ experience in catering.
• Knowledge of HACCP.
• Willingness to undertake job related training.
• Access to suitable vehicle for mobility requirements.

Responsabilités

• Assist with preparation and cooking of meals across the full range.
• Record keeping and hygiene/temperature control in the kitchen.
• Direction and/or shared supervision of other staff.
• Stock-taking and general kitchen administration.
• Promote the service to parents and customers to increase uptake.
