Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Roadside Technician (field based) to provide roadside assistance for a national breakdown company. The role is Cheltenham-based, with a salary of £36,400 and OTE up to £61,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

You will work 40 hours per week, with shifts between 6am and 12pm, Monday to Sunday. Overtime and bonus schemes are in place, along with a pension, life cover, and progression opportunities.

Competenze

• Must have Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair, or ideally Level 3 qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles, in a workshop or mobile role.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence with max 6 points and no bans.

Mansioni

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical roadside repairs, including battery replacements, wheel changes and minor engine fixes.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn't possible to ensure member mobility.
• Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.
