Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Roadside Technician in the UK. This permanent, full-time role involves attending roadside breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and carrying out mechanical/electrical repairs from the roadside. Shifts cover 6am–12am, with 40 hours per week and overtime opportunities.

Expected earnings include base salary around £36,400 with OTE over £60,000; potential to reach £70k–£80k+. Excellent benefits, progression, and support are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair (Level 3 preferred).
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification hands‑on experience with vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with max 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess faults quickly.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn’t possible.
• Advise members on next steps, including recovery.
• Work safely in varied environments and conditions.
