Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Roadside Technician for a permanent, full-time position in the United Kingdom. The role covers 40 hours per week with a shift pattern and potential overtime earnings.

You will attend roadside breakdowns, perform mechanical and electrical repairs, and use diagnostic tools to assess issues. A UK driving licence and relevant qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair; Level 3 preferred.
• At least 2 years post-qualification hands-on vehicle experience (workshop or mobile).
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements, wheel changes, and minor engine fixes.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn't possible, ensuring member mobility.
• Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.
