Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking Mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations. You will deter theft, protect people and stock, and deliver excellent customer service as a visible security presence across stores.

The ideal candidate holds an SIA Licence (DS/SG), has right to work in the UK, and a full UK driving licence. You will travel between sites, respond to incidents, and ensure health & safety and client procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK and be able to pass an enhanced DBS and BS7858 clearance.
• Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding) and relevant security experience.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (where required).
• Previous experience in retail security or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Strong observation, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Confident handling confrontation and conflict situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible to work across multiple locations and varied shifts.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents across multiple supermarket locations.
• Conduct regular patrols of shop floors, entrances and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Carry out searches in line with policies and legal requirements.
• Liaise with store management and teams to address risks and loss prevention.
• Produce clear incident reports promptly.
• Deliver professional customer experience and assist with queries.
